Here the client
was challenged by a very long living room. What we decided to
do for her was to remove the T.V. and place it at the other end of
the living area space to create a TV area. We then brought a pair formal
chairs she had into the space to create a comfortable conversation
area for entertaining by the fireplace. The chairs provided this area
with more balance and symmetry. Artwork was taken down from the
walls behind the chairs to ensure the full impact of the fireplace
and a large piece of art placed above the sofa by the wall. Within
a few hours the client now had two separate areas within the same space,
one for conversation and entertaining with the fireplace as its focal
point and the other area as less formal space with two comfortable
chairs and the TV. |
